Baby Loss Awareness Week 2025
From October 9 to October 15, 2025, the Baby Loss Awareness Week will take place. A week in which we draw attention to baby mortality worldwide every year and thus also pay attention to all babies who are missed so much.
Support centre Nova is a member of the International Baby Loss Awareness Alliance and is in line with what has been discussed worldwide in the Netherlands. We want to raise awareness for baby loss with various activities.
On this page you can read all about the Baby Loss Awareness Week 2025 and all the activities we organize, but also tips on how to do at home to give a little extra attention to baby loss this week.
Follow us on instagram and Facebook for all the latest information about the BLAW.
The theme of 2025 is
Your baby matters,
no matter how long your pregnancy lasted 🩵🩷

MAKING BABY LOSS VISIBLE
EXHIBITION OF CANVASES WITH BABY HATS AND PHOTOS
To make the loss of a baby visible and to honor these babies, large banners will be seen in the Oosterpark in Amsterdam during the BLAW with hats in different sizes and colors with the names of the babies who are missed so much.
Of course, the name of your baby should not be missing there.
Therefore, please provide your baby’s first name via this registration button (we ask for a small contribution of € 1.50.)
There will also be ten photo blocks in the Oosterpark with photos of parents with their beloved baby. The photos show the love and pride for these babies who are so missed. In addition, there are two photo blocks that show baby loss in history. Because baby mortality is of all times, but love is also of all times.
The banners and photos can be visited in the Oosterpark from Thursday 9 October to Wednesday 15 October (15.00 hours!)
